Archival photoMOSCOW, January 21 Over 11 months of 2021, investigating authorities opened more than 800 criminal cases in Russia due to violations of the law in the field of public procurement, the head of the main department for supervision of the implementation of federal legislation told RIA Novosti Prosecutor General's Office Dmitry Danilov.
"Taking into account the order "On the organization of prosecutorial supervision over the implementation of procurement legislation" local prosecutors have significantly intensified work in this area. For 11 months of 2021, almost 170 thousand violations of the law were detected. As a result of prosecutorial intervention, over 48,000 guilty persons were brought to disciplinary and administrative responsibility, more than 800 criminal cases were initiated based on the materials of inspections,» Danilov said.
According to him, in 2021, violations of procurement legislation were found in Rospatent, Rosakkreditatsiya, Rosreestr, the Housing and Utilities Reform Assistance Fund, the Agency for the Management and Use of Historical and Cultural Monuments, the Federal Cadastral Chamber of Rosreestr and the Russian Post. 17 persons were held accountable,» Danilov clarified.
