MOSCOW, Jan 21 All US Olympic team athletes were vaccinated against coronavirus before Olympic Games in Beijing, reports the Associated Press, citing the chief physician of the team, Jonathan Finnoff. It is noted that none of the American athletes asked for a medical exception. More than 200 US athletes will travel to the Beijing Games. In September, the US National Olympic Committee introduced a policy requiring US athletes to be fully vaccinated by December 1st. About a month later, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that unvaccinated athletes to participate in the Olympics would be required to undergo a 21-day quarantine upon arrival in China. At the same time, the organizers of the Games may provide an exception for athletes on medical grounds.
