The Russian Football Union (RFU) is not is considering the issue of transferring the play-offs of the national team for the right to play at the 2022 World Cup from Luzhniki. the procedure for holding mass events in Moscow, as well as with UEFA and the football federations of Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic. The RFU is working on various scenarios for the upcoming matches, depending on the dynamics of the pandemic and potential restrictions. As of January 21, we assume that both planned matches will be held at the Luzhniki stadium for March. In the semifinal meeting of the “joints”, the Russians will play with the Poles on March 24th. The second game will take place on March 29. In case of victory over the Polish team, the Russian team will play with the winner of the Sweden-Czech Republic pair. If the meeting with the Poles ends in defeat, then on March 29 a friendly match will be played with the losing team of the parallel match.
