MOSCOW, Jan 21 President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe spoke about the progress of the Russian women's cross-country skiing team, comparing athletes with dogs.
"Of course, our girls understand that you can fight with everyone. The times when I called them bedside tables and stools are generally over. Now they may not yet be shepherds, but already dogs that can bite well. Is the word "dogs" a compliment? Certainly. It seems to me that girls should jump with happiness that finally Elena Valeryevna calls them that", — said Vyalba on the air of "First Sports Radio".
Vyalbe also named the main candidates for medals in the women's ski relay at the Beijing Olympics, which will be held from February 4 to 20. According to her, the teams of Russia, Sweden, the USA and Norway will compete for the medals.
