File photoLONDON, Jan 22 British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace is pleased that his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu accepted the offer of negotiations, the Independent newspaper writes. Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Shoigu invited the head of the British defense department to negotiate in Moscow. This is how the Russian minister responded to Wallace's invitation to meet in London, recalling that the last time the parties met in 2013 was in the British capital at the talks of the heads of the Foreign and Defense Ministry in the 2 + 2 format. «The Minister of Defense is pleased that Russia accepted the invitation to hold talks with a colleague… The minister has made it clear that he will explore all avenues to achieve stability and resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
