In the third round, Medvedev, seeded under the second number, outplayed Botik Van de Zandshulp from the Netherlands with a score of 6:4, 6:4, 6:2. The meeting lasted 1 hour 55 minutes. The next opponent of last year's Australian Open finalist will be the American Maxim Cressy, who beat the Australian Christopher O'Connell in four games.
