The world cannot ignore these issues, the UN says.
In 2022, the world will have to contend with five major threats. The Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres spoke about them, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The main threats that the whole world will have to face, Guterres called COVID-19, the financial crisis , climate, cyber attacks and security threats.
«Coronavirus pandemic, climate crisis, global financial system, internet lawlessness and threats to peace and security — these are the biggest challenges facing the world right now», — Guterres said at the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to him, the world cannot ignore these problems and they will need to be addressed together.
«But we cannot afford the luxury of simply cataloging our problems. We must solve them and we can solve them. But this can only be done as a solidary community of states», — said Guterres.
