MOSCOW, Jan 23 French MMA fighter Francis Ngannou took over compatriot Cyril Gan at the 270th numbered Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in Anaheim (USA) and defended the organization's heavyweight title for the first time. The UFC 270 main fight lasted all five rounds and ended with the champion's victory by unanimous decision. For Ngannou this victory was the 17th in his career with three defeats. Gan suffered the first defeat in his career (before meeting with Ngannou, the Frenchman won ten fights in a row). Earlier, in the second most important event of the fight evening, the Brazilian Deiveson Figueredo defeated the Mexican Brandon Moreno by unanimous decision of the judges and again became the undisputed champion of the flyweight promotion.
