The avalanche danger will persist during January 22-24 in the mountains of the Lviv region.
An emergency situation occurred in the mountains of Transcarpathia. On January 23, an avalanche descended there. It happened just during the descent from the mountain of a group of tourists, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Channel 24.
According to the State Emergency Service, on January 23 at 11:18 they received an SOS signal. It turned out that an avalanche covered a group of tourists on the Borzhava meadow.
5 people were trapped in a snow trap. And although at the time the rescuers arrived, the tourists dug out on their own, one person was injured as a result of falling into an avalanche and needed to be transported.
Mountain rescuers from the village of Nizhnie Vorota and Pylypets came to the rescue. In total, 10 people and 3 pieces of equipment were involved in the rescue. There is a connection with tourists.
Rescuers warned of avalanche danger
Rescuers, referring to the data of weather forecasters of the Ukrgidromettsentr, announced a significant snow avalanche danger of the third level. It will be preserved during January 22-24 in the mountains of the Lviv region. At the same time, on January 23-24, there will be snowfalls and snowstorms in the highlands of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions.
Rescuers persistently warn citizens about the avalanche danger on the slopes of the Carpathians. Snowfalls and blizzards in the highlands pose a direct threat to the life and health of tourists who, despite the warnings of rescuers, go to the mountains in bad weather,

Rescuers are constantly involved in the search and rescue of people who lose orientation in the area, deviate from the planned route, or get injured during the hike.
Recent «adventure» in the mountains
The rescuers also decided to recall what incidents have recently occurred in the Ukrainian mountains.
- In the Carpathian region, despite the warnings of rescuers, tourists from the Odessa region went to Hoverla. When climbing the mountain, two people born in 1987 and 1989 were injured, their rescuers took them to the sports base & # 171; Zaroslyak & # 187; and handed over to the doctors. Another woman, born in 1965, died.
- And in Transcarpathia On January 21, information was received that in the ski resort «Pylypets», in the area of Mount Gemba, while skiing, two tourists born in 1953 and 1956 disappeared and do not get in touch. At 21:55, the tourists got in touch and reported that they were in the village of Berezniki, Svalyava district. Tourists were taken by rescuers to Pylypets.
- On January 22, the rescuers received a message that while skiing in the area of Mount Gemba, four citizens lost their bearings in the fog. The tourists were found near the foot of the Gemba. The men were in a satisfactory condition. Then the rescuers took them to the village of Berezniki, Khust district, where their friends were already waiting for them.
