Earlier, Kadyrov called the family of former federal judge Saidi Yangulbaev, as well as Committee Against Torture Igor Kalyapin and Novaya Gazeta journalist Yelena Milashina.
This happened after the abduction of Yangulbaev's wife Zarema Musaeva from Nizhny Novgorod to Grozny on January 20. The Chechen authorities explained Musaeva's forcible detention by the fact that she was a witness in a fraud case and repeatedly ignored the investigator's subpoenas.
Musaeva's relatives could not contact her for several days, and they did not allow a lawyer to see the detainee. The day before, Chechen Press Minister Akhmed Dudayev said that Musaeva was arrested for 15 days for attacking a security official during detention.
