We continue to stitch Ukraine together.»The Day of the Unification of Ukraine is a public holiday celebrated annually on January 22, the day of the proclamation of 1919, the Act of Reunification of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (ZUNR) into a single Ukrainian state that lasted less than six months. Previously, Tishchenko mixed up religious holidays and congratulated his compatriots on Easter on Christmas. The parliamentarian posted on Facebook a photo near the Christmas tree and a poem that ends with the words: «Christ is Risen!» After Internet users pointed out the mistake, Tishchenko also deleted the post.
