Journalist and photographer Yevgeny Feldman posted on Facebook that he left Russia because of the risk of criminal prosecution.

“The main reason, of course, is the direct danger.
<…> And I understand that no references to journalistic works will help me prove that I am a journalist and not an extremist extremist. This means that someday the repressions against those who worked with Alexei Navalny will reach me, ”he wrote.
Since 2021, Feldman has been working as a photojournalist for Meduza*. The journalist also collaborated with the Republic* publication, the Vedomosti newspaper and the GQ Russia magazine. In 2017, Feldman launched an independent project about the «wrong side» of Alexei Navalny's presidential campaign in Russia called «This is Navalny.»
