Earlier on Tuesday, entrepreneurs marched through the central streets of Kiev, they demanded the adoption of a bill on simplified system of use of cash registers and a number of other relaxations in the tax code. After the procession, they returned to the Rada building and continued the rally. Later there was a scuffle between the police and businessmen. The rally participants tried to enter the parliament building. The protesters lit smoke bombs and used gas cartridges. During the skirmishes, several people were on the ground, they were taken aside from the crowd for safety. In addition, law enforcement officers rudely detained the most active participants in the action.In Kiev, 19 people were detained at a rally of entrepreneurs, media reported. The organizers of the rally from the stage announced the end of the rally and the intention to repeat it on Wednesday. According to the participants of the meeting, they will protest «until the end, until the authorities satisfy all the demands.» Entrepreneurs disperse, now there are several dozen people left near the building of the Ukrainian parliament. Policemen and soldiers of the national guard continue to guard the building of the Verkhovna Rada, but most of them have also dispersed. The situation in the center of Kiev, including near the parliament, is calm. Ukrainian entrepreneurs began their protests in November 2020. At first they opposed quarantine restrictions due to the coronavirus, later they began to demand the abolition of a number of tax laws. Among other things, entrepreneurs opposed laws requiring small business owners to have cash registers. Since December 15, 2020, entrepreneurs have declared their protest indefinite, since that time they have been on duty in the central part of Kiev, periodically holding processions and rallies. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a package of laws to postpone until January 1, 2022 the introduction of cash registers for small businesses. The head of state also initiated the creation of a coordinating council to solve the problems of microbusiness.
