Sonya Kay, singer, niece legendary Sofia Rotaru, decided to end her musical career. The actress announced her retirement from the stage and warmly thanked the fans, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
Note that a few months ago, the 30-year-old star released a new Ukrainian-language album &# 171;Drive» and immediately hit the global charts. Before that, the singer toured the United States, received awards for achievements in show business.
It would seem that the young artist is actively and confidently continuing her successful ascent to the musical Olympus… and then suddenly decided to stop. What is the reason for such a verdict to curtail the musical project? Here is how the singer herself explains the important news.
«I want to inform you that as a singer of Sonya Kay, I have ended my career. I believe that my team and I have made a huge contribution to Ukrainian music. We have shown that the Ukrainian language is and will always be in trend and can sound stylish and modern. I have received several important awards in our country and I am terribly proud of it!» — writes Sonya Kay.
Sofia Hlyabich (real name of the artist) added that she fondly remembers every concert, a mini-tour to America, glossy magazines, the heroine of which she was, her collaboration with famous brands.
« I met a lot of cool and wonderful people along the way. I am grateful to my family, my team, my beloved fans, everyone who supported me and believed in me! I say goodbye to you with sadness in my heart and with tears in my eyes», — says the singer.
Sonya Kay also urged those who dream of a stage and a career as a singer to never give up, believe in themselves and «know that you will definitely succeed!»
