On January 20, the Central Bank proposed a complete ban on any operations with cryptocurrency on the Russian market. Bloomberg sources claimed that the head of the Central Bank was persuaded to support the ban on cryptocurrencies by the FSB, linking them with donations to «undesirable organizations» and the media — «foreign agents» in the form of cryptocurrencies.
