MOSCOW, 25 Jan. Nutritionist Victoria Lazareva told why millet dishes, in particular, millet porridge, should be included in the diet. According to her, millet is one of the most useful cereals. It is rich in B vitamins, especially vitamin B6. It is responsible for metabolic processes, participates in protein synthesis and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
"Dishes from millet are especially useful for diabetes, atherosclerosis, diseases of the liver, pancreas, cardiovascular and nervous systems" , — said the interlocutor of the agency.
At the same time, the specialist noted that millet should be excluded for gastritis with low acidity, bloating, increased gas formation, as well as for people suffering from celiac disease.
