Fighter of the LPR People's MilitiaMOSCOW, Jan 26 Russia's position is unequivocal — it is necessary to strictly implement the Minsk agreements , which Ukraine is sabotaging, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, commenting on the initiative of the Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak on the supply of weapons to the LPR and DPR. Earlier, Turchak said that Russia should provide the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics with the necessary assistance in the form of supplies of certain types armaments to increase their defense capability and deter the military aggression that is being prepared by Kiev. «Here we have an unequivocal position. We are supporters of the unconditional implementation of the Minsk agreements, which Ukraine is sabotaging. Western curators of the Ukrainian regime assured us, including the Americans, by the way, at the meeting between Putin and Biden in June in Geneva, that they will achieve the fulfillment by Kiev of its obligations on a set of measures that were in Minsk in 2015 on signed, primarily in terms of ensuring the special status of Donbass,» Lavrov told reporters. «I assume that this obligation lies with the West and it must ensure that Kiev fulfills the Minsk agreements, then all questions will disappear,» Lavrov added.
