
MOSCOW, Jan 27 Two-time world champion in men's singles Javier Fernandez wished speedy recovery to two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko. Plushenko's hospitalization became known on Wednesday. His wife, Yana Rudkovskaya, said that he was hospitalized due to an exacerbation of a duodenal ulcer.
"Get well soon, brother! I’m thinking of you",” Fernandez wrote in the comments under Plushenko’s Instagram post.
Plushenko is 39 years old. In addition to two Olympic gold medals, he has three victories at the World Championships and seven at the European Championships. He retired as a figure skater and currently works as a coach at the Angela Plushenko Academy. Fernandez is 30 years old. He is an Olympic bronze medalist and a seven-time European champion. Fernandez retired three years ago.
