MOSCOW, Jan 27 Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens lost to Czechs Barbora Kreychikova and Katerina Sinyakova in the doubles semi-finals at the first Grand Slam tournament of the season — the Australian Open. The meeting ended with a score of 6:2, 6:3 in favor of the first seeded. Kudermetova and Mertens had the third seed. In the final, the Czechs will play against the representative of Kazakhstan Anna Danilina and the Brazilian Beatrice Haddad-Mayi. They defeated Japan's Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara (2) in the semifinals.
