Russian President Vladimir Putin urged not to suspend the provision of planned medical care to children due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus. His words are quoted by Kommersant.

“I looked: in our country, some children's medical institutions are curtailing, unfortunately, their work on providing planned assistance. Still, everything possible must be done at least with regard to children so that planned assistance does not stop, we must see if we did it last year, the year before last, ”Putin said at a meeting with the government via video link.
Earlier, planned hospitalization of children was suspended for three weeks in Moscow. The restriction does not apply to patients with oncological and hematological diseases who need to be hospitalized for anticancer treatment. At the same time, emergency medical care will be provided in full, without exception, to all children, the capital's depzdrav said. According to him, the incidence of COVID-19 among children in Moscow has increased 14 times in two weeks.
