There are four kinds of stress.
We can't protect ourselves from stress is 100%, but we can minimize its impact on our body p>“Not a day goes by without stress. Of different power and in different manifestations, short-term or long-term, chronic or re-emerging, but he is our true friend,” says the doctor.
The cardiologist explains that in such a situation we can get upset and shake off further or pull yourself together and try to minimize the number of stressful situations.
There are 4 types of stress:
1️) psychological or emotional, arising from strong positive or negative emotions;
2️) physiological, associated with the influence of external factors such as thirst, hunger, pain, heat;
3️) short-term, expressed in a short natural reaction to external irritation;
4️) chronic, from which it is impossible to get without additional efforts.
Natalya Ivanyuk says that the negative impact of stress on our body concerns both physical well-being and the psyche. Subsequently, stress can lead to hypertension, arrhythmia, heart attack, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis and depression.
“ According to my statistics, 9 out of 10 patients answer the question “Do you often have stress in your life?” answer «Yes» — and then follows a relentless monologue, how bad everything is in life! The work is stressful, the salary is small, there is a war in the country, and even this terrible coronavirus. If you do not interrupt, it may take a long time. True, there was recently a man at reception ( the same 1 of 10), whose answer surprised I pleasant ;. antistress said could hold smile in answer mood I love positive patients !» — admits the doctor.
She notes that they shake everything off, and we will not be able to protect ourselves from stress by 100%, but we can minimize the effect of stress on our body.< /p>
Natalia Ivanyuk told how she achieves this goal herself.
- Alternate work and leisure (“I try to break out of the city every 4 months a week, to the sea, to nature, somewhere to reboot”).
- Plan the working day correctly (“I try to do all the most important things in the morning , leave everything else for the evening).
- Sleep at least 7-8 hours a day.
- Do not eat on the go, do not seize nervous tension. Plan menus and meal times (“food bowls save”)
- Don’t try to alleviate stress symptoms by drinking alcohol.
- Do sports, walk a lot.
- It is easy to switch (“at work you are a doctor, at home you are a mother and wife, I don’t carry work home”).
- Do not fixate on troubles and look at your attitude towards them, do not dwell on unpleasant emotions.
- In dead-end situations, always ask yourself, «Is there anything I can change?» If yes, change, no, change attitude.
We can't completely eliminate stress from our lives, but it shouldn't control us either! It is difficult to learn how to live positively under any circumstances, but it is important to try, what if it works out? — the doctor suggests.
