MOSCOW, Jan 28 French Kristina Mladenovic and Croat Ivan Dodig beat Australians Jamie Furlis and Jason Kubler in the final of the mixed doubles competition at the first Grand Slam tournament of the season — the Australian Open. The meeting ended with a score of 6:3, 6:4 in favor of Mladenovic and Dodig (fifth seed). three-time Grand Slam champion in the mixed doubles, the Frenchwoman previously won the Australian tournament in 2014 and Wimbledon in 2013. Dodig is nine years older than his partner, for him the victory on the courts of Melbourne was the fourth in the Grand Slam tournaments in mixed doubles competitions. The Croatian has previously won the French Open twice (2018, 2019) and Wimbledon (2019).
