MOSCOW, Jan 27 Saudi Arabian footballers outplayed Oman in a home match of the seventh round of the third stage of the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The meeting in the city of Jeddah ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the home team. Firas al-Buraikan scored a goal in the 48th minute. After seven rounds, the Saudi Arabia national team is leading the qualifying group B standings with 19 points. Next come the teams of Japan (15 points), Australia (14), Oman (7), China (5) and Vietnam (0). The two best teams of the group will receive a direct ticket to the World Cup, the third team will play in the play-offs. The tournament will run from November 21 to December 18.
