The People's Artist of the RSFSR Leonid Kuravlev died at the age of 86. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Union of Cinematographers.

In early January, Kuravlev was treated for pneumonia at City Clinical Hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka. On Wednesday, January 26, Kuravlev's son said that the actor was discharged, his tests for coronavirus were negative.
Kuravlyov made his film debut in 1958 as a sapper soldier Morozov in Andrei Tarkovsky and Alexander Gordon's film Today.
Later, Kuravlev played roles in such films as «The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed», «Seventeen Moments of Spring», «Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession», «Afonya» and many others.
Leonid Kuravlev was born on October 8, 1936 in Moscow. He entered VGIK the second time in 1955. For success in the cinema, Kuravlev received the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
