BEIJING, January 31, Sergey Pogrebnyak. Head coach of the Russian men's biathlon team Yuri Kaminsky told reporters that the athletes of the national team will do everything to win Olympic medals. On Monday, Kaminsky's group held a training session at the National Biathlon Center in Beijing. Sergey Bashkirov’s group didn’t work out that day. “We come here for medals, unlike those athletes who come to the Games as to a festival. Medals are a fight, they must be pulled out with sweat and blood. The primary task is not to catch the coronavirus and try to bring yourself to the maximum condition,» Kaminsky told reporters. The coach also spoke about the biathlon track of the Olympics. «We consider this topic from the position — what needs to be done to show the result as best as possible. The track is interesting because there are no steep climbs on it. I would just add one of these. Then the track would be ideal for biathletes to show their best their abilities, skills,» Kaminsky said. The Beijing Olympic Games will be held from February 4 to 20.
