About 50 relatives of those detained in the case of mass riots staged a rally in the city prosecutor's office of Almaty. KazTAG reports this.

The participants filed complaints about groundless detention, and then an impromptu rally began in the foyer of the city prosecutor's office. Some people were holding posters and pictures of their sons and husbands.
They stated that their relatives were not involved in the riots, were not terrorists, and that they should be released immediately. In addition, they said that detainees were subjected to torture in order to extract confessions.
