MOSCOW, February 1 International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Director Christophe Duby stated that the organization hopes to fill the stands of the sports facilities of the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing by 30%. Earlier, the organizing committee of the Beijing Olympics, together with the IOC, published a playbook, which announced that spectators from abroad would not be allowed to the Games. Also, the Chinese authorities have decided that tickets will not go on public sale, but will be purposefully distributed to certain groups of spectators. «In terms of capacity, we have not yet made a final decision, because this should be precisely determined depending on the venue of the competition, but I would say that if we have one person for three (available seats) or two, that will already be a good result. It also may depend on whether the viewer is outdoors or indoors. The great thing is that we will have spectators, and it is not only Chinese spectators, but also other people living in China, and we have been very insistent on this,» Duby was quoted by Inside the Games. The Beijing Olympic Games will be held from February 4 to 20.
