The Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg has appointed house arrest until April 1 to traffic police inspector Alexander Kolesnikov, who broke the arm of the detective. Fontanka reports this.

While the preventive measure is in effect, Kolesnikov cannot leave his house, communicate with everyone except the lawyer and the investigator, exchange messages with someone other than them, use means of communication. The traffic inspector must inform the investigator about each call or message.
Earlier, Fontanka's sources reported that employees of the 16th police department on Vasilyevsky Island were not released to face their colleague for trial. According to the interlocutors of the publication, unscheduled exercises were announced there. «Paper» reported that the «Fortress» plan was introduced in the department.
Kolesnikov was detained the day before. He is charged with exceeding official powers (paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code). Kolesnikov himself does not admit his guilt.
