The White House explained why the military is sent to Europe

The US military is not going to Europe to take part in military operations in Ukraine.

The United States is deploying 3,000 of its troops to Europe amid the threat of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The White House explained why they are doing this and what American troops will do in Germany, Poland and Romania.

This was stated by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki.

According to her, the goal of the United States is to be prepared for any contingencies and calm allies in Europe.

« this readiness. This is done in order to reassure our allies, to whom, as I said, we have a sacred duty», — she said.

She noted that the US military, which will go to Europe, is trained and equipped to perform various tasks, including deterring aggression.

Psaki also noted that a number of NATO allies also recently announced the movement of troops, including the UK, France, Spain, Denmark and the Netherlands.

She stressed that the US military is not going to Europe to participate in military operations in Ukraine.

«These are not the troops that will enter Ukraine. They are not fighting in Ukraine», — she stressed.

As you know, the United States is sending its troops to Europe. The corresponding decision was made by US President Joe Biden.

At the same time, a thousand soldiers from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the US Army, which is based in Germany, will be redeployed to Romania in the coming days. Another 1,700 US troops from Fort Bragg will go to Poland and approximately 300 troops from Fort Bragg will be transferred to Germany.
