The lawyers of the «Committee against Torture» were allowed to see Zarema Musaeva, the wife of the former judge Saidi Yangulbaev, who is in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny on the case of assaulting a district police officer (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). It is reported by RBC with reference to the «Committee against Torture».
She told the lawyers that she “did not refuse, does not refuse and does not plan to refuse of her own free will” from their legal assistance.
On January 28, Hussein Aidamirov, deputy head for public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Chechnya, handed over to human rights activists a statement about the refusal of a lawyer, allegedly written by Musayeva.
Killing, planting, scaring. The abduction of the judge's wife by Chechen security forces in Nizhny Novgorod is the main thing
The press secretary of the CPT, Natalya Kurekina, told the details of the criminal case against Musayeva. According to the security forces, on January 21, Musayeva swore at the police department No. 1 — for which she was later arrested for 15 days — and the district police officer decided to draw up a protocol against her. Then Musayeva, according to investigators, attacked the policeman and injured his left cheekbone. She denies guilt.
“Her health is not very good, she does not look very good. It is difficult for her to walk, her coordination in space is disturbed. Doctors seem to come to her, she herself talks about it, and we talked with the leadership of the pre-trial detention center — they say that they are taking all the necessary measures, ”Kurekina added.
«Tear off your heads, work on you, kill you.» The head of Chechnya and the deputy of the State Duma again threaten the family of a retired judge
Chechen police forcefully took Musayeva away from Nizhny Novgorod on 20 January. The remaining members of the Yangulbaev family left Russia, fearing for their lives. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, repeatedly threatened them and accused them of terrorism. Chechen authorities link sons of retired judge Ibragim and Abubakar Yangulbaev with opposition telegram channel 1ADAT.
