MOSCOW, February 3 Russian Alexander Povarnitsyn finished second in the sixth stage sprint Cup of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in the Czech Nove Mesto. The victory in the race with a result of 23 minutes 44.9 seconds was won by the Norwegian Sverre Dalen Aspens, who with one miss won the cleanly shot Russian 10.2 seconds. German Philip Horn (+28.5 sec; 1 miss) closed the top three. Russian Vasily Tomshin (+34.6; 0) was sixth, Mikhail Pervushin (+37.4; 1) — 8th, Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov (+ 1.31.3; 3) — 27th, Dmitry Ivanov (+2.04.5; 2) — 41st, Petr Pashchenko (+2.22.7; 5) — 54th.
