The youngest «terrorists» in Russia (then they were 14 years old) were detained in June 2020. All teenagers are charged with a list of articles, incl. «undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities» (and «changing the existing state and political structure in the Russian Federation,» as stated in the papers of the investigation and court). This article, 205.3, is up to life for adults, and teenagers are up to a maximum of 10 years. The criminal prosecution under the article “Participation in a terrorist community” was terminated before the trial due to the absence of all three corpus delicti in the actions. In addition, they are charged with three crimes under Part 2 of Art. 222.1 (“Storage and carrying of explosives and explosive devices committed by a group of persons by prior agreement”) and four crimes under Part 2 of Art. 223.1 (“Manufacturing of explosives and explosive devices” — also by a group, by agreement).
