“The bones stick out, I cry every day”: Vasnetsova — about the horrors of quarantine in Beijing

MOSCOW, February 4 Russian biathlete Valeria Vasnetsova expressed dissatisfaction with the food conditions in quarantine in Beijing. After arriving in the Chinese capital for the 2022 Winter Olympics, the athlete passed two positive tests for coronavirus. She is currently isolated. In order to leave the quarantine, she needs to get two negative tests for COVID-19. The biathlete posted a photo of a container of food on her Instagram story. «I have been fed this for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 5 days now. I have lost a lot of weight, and my bones are already sticking out. They don’t give other food, about the test results they don’t say anything. I just sleep all day, because now I don’t even have the strength to get out of bed, because I eat three such handfuls of pasta a day, because it’s impossible to eat the rest of the food. But today I ate all the fat that is given instead meat, because I'm very hungry. My stomach hurts, I'm very pale, and I have huge black circles under my eyes. I want it all to end. I cry every day. I'm very tired,» Vasnetsova wrote under the picture. The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics will take place on February 4 at 20.00 local time (15.00 Moscow time) at the National Stadium in Beijing.
