BEIJING, Feb 5 The Russian women's ice hockey team lost to the US team in the match group round of the Olympic hockey tournament. The meeting in Beijing ended with a score of 5:0 (1:0, 1:0, 3:0) in favor of the current Olympic champions. Savannah Harmon (13th minute), Hilary Knight (29), Grace Sumwinkle (44), Jessie Komfer (47) and Alex Carpenter (49) scored among the winners. In the first match of the group stage at the Beijing Olympics, the Russian hockey team on Friday defeated Switzerland 5-2. Canada and the United States lead the Group A standings with six points each. The Russian team has three points and third place.
