Earlier, a US State Department official told RIA Novosti that the administration had decided to restore previously canceled exemptions from sanctions against Iran's nuclear program. «Clear provisions of the Iranian nuclear deal are completely misinterpreted by opponents. The US maximum pressure policy (on Iran) remains the leading factor in advancing the Iranian nuclear program,» Ulyanov wrote on Twitter. Trump canceled all exemptions for Iran's nuclear program in 2020. Two years earlier, Trump pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal and reimposed sanctions on Tehran. On this basis, Iran began to gradually reduce its obligations under the agreement on its nuclear program.
