Beijing, Feb 5, Andrei Simonenko. Russian figure skaters Kamila Valieva, Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova took part in a training session on the day of the pause of the team tournament of the Olympic Games in Beijing. On the eve of the team tournament in figure skating at the Olympics, competitions were held in three disciplines — a short program in men's singles and pairs skating, as well as rhythm dance. The Russian team takes second place, two points behind the Americans. On Sunday, as part of the team tournament, the women will skate the short program, and the men will skate the free program. At the training session on Saturday, Valieva, Shcherbakova and Trusova performed runs of the short programs. Valieva several times cleanly performed the Axel in three and a half turns. Shcherbakova spent a lot of time working on a cascade of two triple jumps, which she did not succeed in the short program at the European Championships in Tallinn. Trusova repeatedly performed four-turn jumps. The application of the Russian national team in the short program for women as part of the team tournament will be officially submitted on Saturday evening, but the day before, team captain Nikita Katsalapov said that Valieva was planned to perform.
