Bread in Ukraine has risen significantly in recent years. Prices for products have reached record highs over the past five years, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
How much does bread cost now
Note that in February 2022 0.6 kg of bread in supermarkets costs 25.9 hryvnia. Sliced bread (0.6 kg) has also risen in price over the month.
Now in stores they ask for 25.5 hryvnias for it, compared to 23.4 hryvnias in January. It should be added that starting from August 2021, the price of wheat bread began to rise.
By September, the price increased by UAH 0.45 and bread cost UAH 23.4. Since that time, the cost of bread has been increasing every month. By February the price had reached a record high over the past five years — UAH 25.9.
In addition, the rise in price also affected rye bread. In January, the price of bread in supermarkets was UAH 30.6. for 0.9 kg, and already in February the price rose to UAH 31.5.
