The Russian national figure skating team became the first in the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. This is the second gold of the Russian team at the Games.

All types of figure skating are represented in the team championship: women's and men's single skating, sports couples and ice dancing. Skaters take to the ice with short and free programs, gaining points for performances (maximum 10 points). The winner is determined by the sum of points.
Mark Kondratyuk, Kamila Valieva, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov (sports couples), as well as Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov (ice dancing) played for the Russian national team.
The Russians secured their victory after 7 events out of 8. The performance of Kamila Valieva, who went on the ice in the last event, could no longer affect the final result, even if she took the last fifth place in the free program. However, she performed with virtually no errors and became the first of her kind.
Second place was taken by the teams from the USA, the third — by Japan.
