Live concert for the defenders of the Trinity Forest
On February 6, in the Troitsky Forest (New Moscow), a gathering of activists protecting the forest from logging was held. Formally, «for the largest school in Europe», in the future — for commercial development. The group «Arkady Kots», the same one that sang the legendary song «The Walls Will Collapse» on Bolotnaya Street in 2012, is supporting eco-activists not for the first time. A few years ago, also in the forest, they sang for the protesters against the landfill in Shies. And by common efforts Shiyes managed to defend.
In Shiyes «Kots» sang in the police ring. In Troitsk, the situation is now no less tough.
Local residents report attacks by a private security company, about people with chainsaws who use physical violence against the defenders of the forest. Alexander Kubalov from the Moscow group Alerta tells about the reaction to the support concert:

“What nervous faces these gloomy people have, watching the people's gathering in the Trinity Forest in the distance. Identical, as if descended from the same assembly line. Gloomy, dissatisfied. Shifty eyes, purses under the arms. Black short jackets. Its own subculture working on the side of evil.
Just as they started, a local resident comes up, pointing at the conversation of one such person in civilian clothes with a policeman:
“They seem to be discussing you there. They say that a protocol should be drawn up for a man in a yellow jacket. Maybe it's about you, be careful.
Strange. I think that with so many people they will try to incriminate us with something?
We had just left for Moscow, when literally a kilometer later we were stopped by police captain Arnautov Igor Alexandrovich. Walkie-talkie in hand, signal received. Not far from the traffic police car, a man in civilian clothes is walking around. Beginning — checking the rights, then the documents for the car, the policy. Let's open the trunk. Yeah, and now let's break you and the car through the bases. The purpose of this circus was to get our passport data away from the eyes of the residents protesting the mass logging. In the forest, where three hundred people have gathered, they can't get away with it.”
Four players played: Kirill Medvedev, Alexander Kubalov, Oleg Zhuravlev, Dmitry Bely. Guitars, percussion, a small amplifier and a generator for microphones brought by Troitsk activists.

“And the forest is incredibly beautiful,” said Kirill Medvedev, the Arkady Kots group, “we must definitely defend it.”
