The vice-governor of St. Petersburg, Irina Potekhina, said that the teacher Serafima Saprykina, who had previously told about her dismissal due to reading the poems of Vvedensky and Kharms, was not going to return to school, and no one called the poets «accomplices of the Nazis». Serafima claimed that she agreed on the replacement with the deputy director for educational work. According to her, after being fired from school No. 168, Saprykina got a job at school No. 70, from where she quit after 16 days. “Seraphim is a lively and enthusiastic person, but her problems are related to the fact that the school lives according to educational standards, according to curricula and programs, and she wants to live in accordance with inspiration,” Potekhina believes.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, asked to reinstate Saprykina in her position. “Our teachers live their work, their business, creatively invest in the development of programs, try to give the children the maximum, and if in response an administrative worker turns on a “club” with or without, what will we get as a result?” he said.
