The 1st Eastern District Military Court in the Krasnoyarsk Territory sentenced 16-year-old Nikita Uvarov, a defendant in the case of the Kansk teenagers, to 5 years in prison. Pavel Chikov, head of Agora, reports this.
He is taken into custody in the courtroom. Two other defendants in the case were released from criminal liability under article 205.3 of the Criminal Code (Training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities) and were given 3 and 4 years of probation.
On February 4, the state prosecution asked to appoint Uvarov 9 years in prison, two of his friends — 6 years 6 months and 6 years 5 months in an educational colony.
The trial in Kansk was held behind closed doors, with audio recording and audience ban.

Teenagers are charged with possession of explosives and leaflets with appeals, the main article is “Training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities” (205.3 of the Criminal Code) At the time of the charged actions, they were 14 years old .
According to the investigation, from October 2019 to June 2020, Uvarov and two other teenagers “joined into a group for the subsequent joint implementation of terrorist activities.” The schoolchildren allegedly «independently underwent training in the manufacture of explosives, made them, and practiced their use in practice in an abandoned house, on wastelands and construction sites,» the prosecution alleges. Nikita Uvarov, who denies guilt, announced pressure during the process.
