SIMFEROPOL, February 11 — due to the lack of a sufficient number of candidates, said the head of the Crimean government, Yuriy Gotsanyuk. Four packages of documents were submitted to participate in the competition, two candidates were denied participation after their verification, one candidate withdrew his application, Gotsanyuk added. Valentin Demidov wrote a letter of resignation. He was the fifth head of the city administration since 2014. After the resignation of Demidov, the first deputy administration of Simferopol, Maxim Balakhonov, was appointed the new acting head of the administration of Simferopol.
