Russia will insist at a meeting of the UN Security Council on February 17 that Kiev has no other way but to implement the Minsk agreements, the first deputy representative of the Russian Federation to the UN said in an interview with RIA Novosti Dmitry Polyansky. A meeting of the UN Security Council is scheduled for February 17 to mark the seventh anniversary of the Minsk agreements. Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, who chaired the Security Council in February, invited his Ukrainian counterpart Sergei Kislitsa to take part in the event during a recent press conference. He clarified that the meeting will be devoted precisely to Kyiv's failure to comply with the Minsk agreements. «We believe that Ukraine has no other way but to implement the Minsk agreements approved by the UN Security Council, and we will insist on this at the meeting you mentioned on February 17,» — said Polyansky.Read the full text of Dmitry Polyansky's interview >>
