Beijing, Feb 10, Oleg Bogatov. Russian lugers reacted emotionally to the failure in team relay at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. On Thursday, the Russian luge team took fourth place in the team relay at the 2022 Games. Tatiana Ivanova, Roman Repilov and Alexander Denisiev/Vladislav Antonov were part of the national team. The victory was won by the German team, the second place was taken by the Austrians, the third — by the Latvians. The Russians were 1.261 seconds behind the winners.
"We crap because we have deuces "fast". Nothing has changed in 12 years. As (at the Olympics) in Sochi we were brought half a second, so every year more and more. Why? Nobody knows — if they knew, they would have gone faster", Denisyev told reporters.
«I don't know how I drove, but based on the calculations, compared to the previous leader, I drove my distance well. And that's all the guys drove well, we all tried. But, apparently, we didn’t have enough luck, she was not on our side. We had small mistakes on the track, but not so significant,» Ivanova added.
