The head of the country recalled that he was elected president exactly 15 years ago, on February 11, 2007.
“I support the idea that the road to public administration at a new stage in the development of our country should be given to young leaders brought up in a spiritual environment and in accordance with the high requirements of modernity. I intend to further direct my vast life and political experience to this area,” Berdimuhamedov said.
According to RIA Novosti, the CEC scheduled early presidential elections for March 12.
In January Armenian President Armen Sarkissian resigned. He noted that the Constitution does not give the President of Armenia the necessary tools to influence political events in the country. “This decision is not at all emotional, it follows a certain logic,” Sargsyan said.
