The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case of negligence due to the attack of a pack of stray dogs on a 13-year-old resident of Orenburg. This was reported on the website of the local government department.

A criminal case was initiated «on the fact of negligence» of employees of the housing and communal services department. According to investigators, officials «did not properly organize the work of catching, transporting and keeping» stray dogs.

GTRK «Orenburg» reported that the attack took place on Bebel Street near school No. 56. The girl’s mother said that the schoolgirl went to the store and ran into a pack in the area of the garbage containers: “About ten large dogs attacked my daughter, bit her hands, legs, her back was especially injured. The girl realized that she needed to lie face down in the snow so that the dogs would not damage it. The jacket saved my daughter's life, it's scary to imagine what would have happened in the summer.”
The Investigative Committee began to report noticeably more often on criminal cases due to attacks by stray dogs after two fatal cases in December and January. In December, in Yakutsk, animals killed an associate professor of NEFU. A month later, a seven-year-old girl died under the same circumstances in a Trans-Baikal village.
