Former representative of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky Yulia Mendel published an article about «Ukrainization» popular Playboy magazine. In the material she shared that she was offered a place on the cover of one of the issues she was inspired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, with whom she spoke in the summer of 2021 about cooperation with international media. The head of state discussed with the ex-representative the opportunity to become the face of one of the issues of Men’s Health magazine.
Why Mendel refused
Yulia Mendel said that Vladimir Zelensky's desire to get on the cover of a popular magazine inspired her to do the same herself, albeit in Playboy.
After weighing everything «for» and «against», I thought: if the president of the country wants to fulfill his dream of an ordinary man, getting on the cover of one of the major men's magazines, why can't his former press secretary appear on the cover of another? Especially if the representatives of Playboy promised that I should not be naked,
— said Mendel.
However, as noted by the ex-presidential representative, they no longer discussed this issue with Volodymyr Zelensky. Mendel added that she simply did not have the courage to agree to become the face of one of the Playboy issues.
Mendel keeps the name of her lover a secret
In 2022, Yulia Mendel first commented on rumors about an affair with President Vladimir Zelensky. She denied this information and stressed that her relationship with the head of state was exclusively professional.
At the same time, the former press secretary intrigued everyone with photos with her new lover. True, his face is not visible in the photo. Mendel keeps the name of the chosen one still a secret. According to her, he is a public figure, but they are both «from different camps» and she is afraid that the hate that pours in her direction will spread to her lover.
However, Mendel noted that she was ready to name the chosen one this spring.
