BEIJING, Feb 13 The Russian team takes the seventh place in the medal standings of the Olympic Games in Beijing after the competition on Sunday. Athletes won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The ski team consisting of Alexei Chervotkin, Alexander Bolshunov, Denis Spitsov and Sergey Ustyugov won the relay, short track skater Konstantin Ivliev won the silver medal in the 500m, biathlete Eduard Latypov won the bronze in the pursuit, and speed skater Angelina Golikova came third in the 500m. meters. In total, the Russian team has four gold, five silver and eight bronze medals, in terms of the total number the team is second only to the leader of the medal standings — the Norwegian team (9-5-7). The top three also includes the Germans (8-5-1) and the Americans (6-5-1). The Beijing Olympic Games will last until February 20.
