Archive photoMINSK, Feb. 15 The CIS countries are considering the issue of obtaining the Commonwealth observer status in the CSTO, Leonid Anfimov, First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, said on Tuesday in Minsk. «The meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives will also consider the issue of closed regime on granting the CIS as an international organization observer status in the CSTO. Council members will consider this issue today and make a decision,» Anfimov told reporters before a meeting of the council of permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth. He did not disclose other details.
