Skiers Alexander Bolshunov and Alexander Terentiev won bronze medals in the team sprint in the classic style and brought the Russian team the 23rd medal at the Beijing Olympics. The victory was won by the Norwegians Eric Valnes and Johannes Klebo with a result of 19 minutes 22.99 seconds. Finns Iivo Niskanen and Yoni Mäki came second (+2.46 seconds). The Russians lost 4.29 seconds to the leaders. Earlier, at this Olympics, Bolshunov won gold medals in the skiathlon and relay race, and also became the second in the race with a separate start for 15 kilometers. Terentiev won bronze in the individual sprint in Beijing.
The games will end on February 20th. Now the Russian team has four gold, eight silver and 11 bronze medals, it ranks ninth in the medal standings. Norway, Germany and the USA are in the lead.
